| The Bothell Girls Select Basketball (BGSB) program is the feeder program to Bothell High for girls basketball for players in 3rd through 8th grade. BGSB plays in the competitive Puget Sound Travel League (PSTL) against other High School feeder programs during the traditional basketball season. During the off season we offer a full range of options to keep the girls playing basketball together year around. BGSB is the home for the best players in the Bothell High attendance area, targeting those girls who want to play and develop their individual and team basketball skills. The BGSB mission is to develop the players into the types of young women and athletes that can be successful at the high school level. The BGSB program practices at the Canyon Park Junior High and Skyview Junior High gyms.  2013 spring Program March-June 3rd through 8th Grade The BGSB Spring program is a “light commitment” basketball program for girls in the Northshore schools. The primary purpose of the program is to keep the Bothell Girls playing basketball, on some level, together all year around. It is not intended as a replacement for other spring and summer sports the girls may be enjoying. We realize many girls are enjoying other sports during the spring and summer. The program is structured to take into account costs, schedules and family commitments that tend keep the girls from dedicating their spring and summer totally to basketball. For those that do wish to focus on basketball all year long we have a comprehensive program to offer. The club membership fee for spring is $90 per girl. That covers appx. 2 x 1.5 hour practices per week for the duration of the spring program. The practices are well structured and run by an AAU approved coach. The teams are slightly larger than normal basketball teams to allow us to still have productive practice when players are not able to attend due to conflicts. For girls who wish to do more than practice twice weekly we offer two options(with additional costs): Option 1--Cascade league play. This is for girls in 3rd-7th grades. There are 8 games which are played on Sat/Sun. League play begins April 13th/14th and the playoffs are June 1st/2nd. Option 2-- AAU tournament play. This will be done in an ad hoc manner by each grade level. The parents and coaches can decide to enter specific AAU tournaments (depending upon who can participate). Costs vary but typically entry fees for the tournaments are about $275.
